We’ve got some rock solid shows coming to Club Congress you don’t want to miss!
Wednesday, April 3: Bar Italia is a London-based rock trio comprised of Nina Cristante (aka NINA), Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton (the latter two perform as Double Virgo). Catch them April 3rd at Club Congress before they head to Coachella!
Thursday, April 4: “Old 97’s,” one of the alt-country community’s most enduring bands, hits the Hotel Congress Plaza with special guest Holler Choir on April 4th! 7pm Tickets $30, ages 21+.
Tuesday, April 9: Parquet Courts’ A. Savage is coming to Club Congress on April 9th! Savage is also a painter and visual artist, creating all Parquet Courts’ album art. He received a Grammy Awards nomination for Best Recording Package for the album art of his band’s 2016 album Human Performance w/ special guest Mali Velasquez.
Wednesday, April 10: Don’t miss Sheer Mag with Dogbreth & Class at Club Congress on Wednesday, April 10th! “A retro-rock band with a punk-rock heart, Sheer Mag can often suggest Thin Lizzy by way of the Minutemen, channeling Seventies riffs and swagger without a bit of distance or irony. Playing Favorites has some of catchiest street-rock they’ve ever put on record, all driven home by powerhouse singer Tina Halladay, who balances toughness and empathy in a way that would make both D. Boon and Phil Lynott proud. The Philly band stretches out in less expected ways too, like the disco-rock highlight “All Lined Up.”- Rolling Stone
Friday, April 19: Agave Heritage Festival Kickoff with Flor de Toloache and Som do Sisal! Experience a historic night of both culture and entertainment with the Grammy Award Winning Mariachi, Flor de Toloache. Joined by Som do Sisal, a 13 piece Brazilian Youth Orchestra that plays instruments made of repurposed Agave Sisal plants. This concert kicks off the Agave Heritage Festival weekend in true Tucson style on April 19th. As a special treat from the Agave Heritage Festival, the first 200 ticket holders will be treated to an agave spirit sample from Banhez Mezcal Artesanal.
