Phoenix, AZ – The Garment League announces the launch of Phoenix’s first Fashion Industry Youth Camp in partnership with the State of Arizona! The Garment League will be offering AZ OnTrack Summer Camp at Park Central. The Fashion industry Youth camp offers kids and teens grades 3rd- 12th a FREE enrichment fashion program from June 6th – July 31st.
At the end of the summer, families want to hear their child had a great summer and want to attend summer camp again. The Garment League is dedicated to making this happen and is offering a free day camp to inspire and nurture creativity for the youth in Phoenix. The Fashion Industry Youth Camp offers so many fun and unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the complex world of Fashion, meet new friends, discover new interests, and create memories that last a lifetime.
The Garment League is determined to make sure the youth can engage in activities that make them forget all about those iPads and cellphones for a few hours. Attending Fashion Industry Youth Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children to keep their minds and bodies active with themed activities that are aligned with being at the center of their own learning – whether it’s discovering personal passions, confirming their interest in professional fashion related careers or simply understanding new material as part of a conceptual framework.
Fashion Industry Youth Campers will be trained in brand development, sewing, styling, modeling, fashion photography, makeup artistry and more. Each attendee will be able to specialize and focus on their area of concentration while obtaining knowledge of the other divisions.
Tricee Thomas, Founder and CEO of The Garment League, states, “In our day camp, Youths are not only supporting a movement, but they’re in a welcoming environment where they are fully accepted, promoting inner and outer beauty, as well as self-confidence and self-esteem. We really encourage parents to give their kids the gift of our Fashion Industry Youth Camp so that they can build relationships, develop character, and discover their potential while gaining new skills this summer.”
A leading fashion nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of youth and empowering the Arizona Fashion Industry, The Garment League has been a leader in believing and investing in local designers and creatives for over 5 years. Directed and mentored by Arizona’s leading fashion professionals, campers will have a safe experience with caring staff and volunteers who model positive values for a summer that will be the most fun and fashionable experience ever.
