Whether you live in urban Tucson or out in the desert, you are likely to see javelinas parading through your yard. Say “javelina” to anyone living in “javie-country” and you are bound to get varied responses, from “Those ugly creatures are so destructive” to “I think their babies are so cute.” Whether you call them javelinas, peccaries, or four-legged wrecking balls, learn how to coexist with these interesting and often misunderstood creatures in this fascinating presentation by local naturalist Doris Evans. Pre-registration required. Space is limited to 60 registrants.
