NIGHTMARE ON CONGRESS

It’s a classic for a reason: Hotel Congress’s annual Halloween spectacular (SATURDAY OCTOBER 25th) is now on sale, and we expect each of you to be there dressed in your spooky best. Whether you’re a participant or spectator, ‘Nightmare’ boasts the best costume contest in Tucson. We are floored every year by the creativity, craftsmanship, freakishness, and depravity on display.

Winners are chosen by audience applause. We’ve seen enough of these contests to be able to provide a few pointers for optimizing your chances at cash and prizes: 1) Home-made or GTFO — avoid Spirit Halloween at all costs if you’re serious about winning 2) Individuality and originality are KEY. Basic bitch Beetlejuice ain’t gonna cut it (last year there were FOUR, good lordt). 3)Wise to avoid racist, sexist, transphobic, etc. costumes (and just in general, duh). You’ll set yourself to lose the contest, and be scorned to boot – so double-check that your edginess is sharp rather than lazy.
