Oro Valley: Spring Foodie, Art & Wine Festival

Color, creativity, and crave-worthy flavor collide at Art State Arizona’s Spring Foodie, Art & Wine Festival at Oro Valley Marketplace, a high-energy outdoor weekend where you can sip local Arizona wine and beer, taste from 15+ food vendors, shop a curated artisan marketplace with over 140 artisans and exhibitors, and watch art come to life in real time in the Plein Air Painting Festival.

Nonstop cultural and student groups will be presenting live performances on the main stage, while a jumping castle playland and an arts and crafts tent for all ages will be available.

This March, Art State Arizona invites the community to step into a vibrant open-air celebration of flavor, creativity, and culture at the Oro Valley Spring Foodie, Art & Wine Festival. Set against sweeping mountain views at Oro Valley Marketplace, this two-day festival blends an artisan marketplace, cultural performances, culinary delights, plein air art competition, hands-on activities, and a local Arizona wine and beer garden into one immersive spring weekend experience.

Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, the festival is free to attend and offers more than 4,300 parking spaces, making it easy for families and visitors to explore everything the event has to offer.

The Spring Festival comes alive with movement, music, and unexpected moments of wonder. The Cirque Collective will weave through the crowd with acroyoga, hula hooping, and juggling — turning walkways into pop-up stages. On Saturday, DJ Carl Hanni spins vinyl; on Sunday, DJ PNUT takes over, keeping the rhythm grounded and vibrant all weekend long. It’s not just entertainment — it’s atmosphere.

Beyond the performances, you’ll find creativity rooted in story and place. The Comic BookMobile rolls in on Saturday with an interactive celebration of illustration and imagination. The Friends of the Public Library Book Sale invites you to discover your next favorite read, while the Oro Valley Historical Society Exhibit connects us to the stories that shaped this community. Together, these activations make the festival more than an event—they make it an experience.

Guests 21+ can relax in the festival’s curated Arizona Wine & Beer Garden featuring local wines and craft beer available by the glass. The garden provides a shaded retreat to sip, socialize, and enjoy live music throughout the day, while listening to live music and indulging in over 15 eclectic food vendors.

Plein Air Painting Competition

A signature feature of the weekend is the juried Plein Air Painting Festival, inviting artists to create artwork outdoors, responding to the desert landscape, architecture, and festival atmosphere.

Up to 40 selected artists will compete for more than $2,250 in cash awards, including:

Imagination runs wild with face painting and free make-and-take art stations located throughout the festival. From colorful designs to hands-on crafts, these creative spaces invite kids and families to slow down, create together, and leave with something uniquely their own.

DIAMONDS IN THE DESERT CAR SHOW

At the Oro Valley Marketplace Walmart parking lot on Saturday, chrome, community, and career pathways collide at Tucson’s premier student-run automotive showcase. Produced entirely by students from Canyon Del Oro and Amphi High Schools, this high-energy event puts the next generation of automotive professionals in the driver’s seat—managing everything from event planning and marketing to technical demonstrations and awards. Come celebrate incredible vehicles while investing directly in hands-on education and real-world career training. 10 AM – 2 PM on Saturday, March 7.
