London-based singer/songwriter SIENNA SPIRO returns with her new single “Dream Police” — a darkly charged but exhilarating track recently revealed in her debut performance for COLORSxSTUDIOS. Out now via Capitol Records, the 19-year-old artist’s latest stunner premieres as she gets set to support Teddy Swims on his US tour this July. “Dream Police” marks the first new music from SIENNA since the arrival of her debut EP SINK NOW, SWIM LATER — a February release featuring her breakout hit “MAYBE.”, a deeply moving ballad that’s surpassed 100 million streams and topped four viral Spotify charts across the globe. As SIENNA explains, “Dream Police” mines inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi action film Inception and delivers a surreal yet emotionally raw tale of being doomed to only see your lover in your dreams.
Said SIENNA, “I was inspired to write ‘Dream Police’ after watching the film Inception. It was the love story between Cobb and Mal, and the idea that he could only experience their love through his subconscious and dreams that really stuck with me. Sonically, “Dream Police” is very different for me but represents such an important part of myself that I wanted to share.”
Produced by Omer Fedi (Charli xcx, SZA) and Yakob (Kali Uchis, 6LACK), “Dream Police” offers a thrilling glimpse into SIENNA’s next era as an artist on the rise. SIENNA possesses the type of voice that stays with you long after her music has left the room. With her effortlessly soulful tone, cinematic storytelling, and subtly modern yet timeless sound, it’s almost impossible to believe that the London-born singer and songwriter is just 19 years old. And yet, her stirring debut EP, SINK NOW, SWIM LATER, captures a striking array of emotions both raw and deep, complex and instantly relatable.

Her debut single “NEED ME” instantly captured the attention of all the right ears, prompting early co-signs from superstars like SZA, Mark Ronson, FINNEAS, Sam Smith and more. A DIY-minded artist who first started penning songs when she was only 10, SIENNA earned a massive online following before ever sharing her original music, thanks in part to her powerhouse cover of Donald Glover’s “Redbone,” which has racked up over 6 million views on TikTok alone. With her longtime influences including Frank Ocean, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, and Amy Winehouse, she soon began integrating jazz elements into her music while gently leaning toward a more contemporary sonic aesthetic.
