Learn More!INTRODUCING THE “FORTRESS OF PEACE & QUITE”The Children’s Museum Tucson presents the “Fortress of Peace & Quiet” as a spot for parents and their children to momentarily step away from the energetic Comic-Con atmosphere. The space is thoughtfully designed to provide a calming ambiance, allowing visitors to decompress and rest before diving back into the exhilarating activities the convention has to offer.
This new space aims to provide a serene sensory zone for parents and young children attending Comic-Con to relax, decompress, and recharge for more adventure-filled activities. The Fortress of Peace and Quiet will offer dedicated areas for nursing parents, activities for young children, and a convenient baby changing station.

Jimmy Palmiotti – Jimmy Palmiotti, a highly acclaimed comic book creator, possesses extensive experience in advertising, production, editorial work, film writing, media presentation, and video game development. Notable clients he has collaborated with include Nike, Disney, Warner Brothers, Lion’s Gate, Fox, New Line, 2KGames, and THQ Nordic. Currently, Palmiotti and cofounder of PaperFilms, Amanda Conner are receiving acclaim for their work on the highly praised Harley Quinn series and other related titles for DC Comics. They have also collaborated on projects for Marvel and created the Marvel Knights imprint. Furthermore, Palmiotti’s creations, such as Just A Pilgrim, Random Acts of Violence, and Painkiller Jane, are currently in film development.
Joel Gomez – Renowned comic book artist Gomez has gained a well-deserved reputation for his exceptional talent and captivating illustrations throughout his 15+ years in the industry. His journey began in 2016 when he joined forces with Coffin Comics as the illustrator for the highly successful series, La Muerta. Gomez recently published his latest installment in the Mexi-Noir Series, La Muerta Devious, where Gomez’s artistic prowess once again breathes life into the narrative. Currently, Gomez is involved in an exciting collaboration with Coffin Comics, crafting a new original graphic novel titled “Lady Gunfighter.”Beth Sotelo –
Beth Sotelo is an acclaimed artist known for her all–ages graphic novel, “Grump.” With an amazing career spanning over two decades, she has collaborated with distinguished publishers such as Marvel, DC, Top Cow Productions, and Aspen Comics. Sotelo’s unique artistic style and masterful coloring techniques have amassed widespread adoration from fans worldwide. Sotelo regularly livestreams on Twitch and Facebook to captivate and entertain her fans.
