Tucson Presidio Rotary Club is honored to have a special guest speaker on November 3, 2021. Dr. Baker will be joining members of the Tucson Presidio Rotary Club for lunch and a chat about how her business, Intuition Wellness Center, is impacted by the pandemic, and what types of issues relating to the pandemic she and her team are seeing in the children of our community. She will also answer questions for those in attendance.

Executive & Clinical Director, Clinical Psychologist – Dr. Baker believes that her life’s work is to ensure that young people and their families have access to high quality services and programs that support a healthy and joyful lifestyle. In her director role, Dr. Baker is privileged to oversee strategic planning and agency operations, offer outreach to professionals and community members, and support Intuition Wellness Center’s team. In her role as a practitioner, Dr. Baker believes deeply in the importance of continued learning and self-improvement and takes a transparent, strength-based, person-centered approach to her therapeutic work. Dr. Baker has particular interest in the use of play-based therapeutic modalities, the concepts of growth mindset and grit and supporting parents and teachers. Dr. Baker is often drawn to work with those labeled “shy” or “resistant to therapy” as well as bright and gifted individuals. Dr. Baker’s specialty areas are:
· Young people ages 3-25
· Young people considered “resistant” or too shy for talk therapy
· Young people presenting with:
o Self-esteem issues
o Identity development difficulties
o Giftedness
o Perfectionism
o Underachievement
o Social skills difficulties
o Behavioral problems
