Tucson’s 247th Birthday Celebration

Celebrate Tucson’s 247th Birthday on Saturday, August 20, 2022. The annual event is held at Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum downtown at 196 N. Court beginning at 6:30pm. Mariachi music will be performed with folkloric dancers from Ballet Folkloric Los Mextucas. Gertie and the T.O. Boys brings waila music. The Tucson Chinese Cultural Center presents a Chinese lion dance and yo-yo show. There will be other demonstrations and historical information, including the Arizona Historical Society and the Jewish Museum and Holocaust Center, the Mormon Battalion, Vail Preservation Society and Ignite Sign Museum.
