Tucson Airport Ground Transportation, Car Rentals

The Tucson International Airport (TIA) has been recently remodeled. All departing shuttles, luxury cars, vans, buses, and taxis are now located on the commercial roadway on the lower level in front of the terminal.

Shuttles, Vans and Bus

Hotel Guests: Many hotels provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport for their guests. Make prior arrangements with the hotel, or use the phone at the Information Desk located in baggage claim to announce your arrival for pick up.

Shared-ride van services for each arriving flight to all area hotels, resorts, the University of Arizona and business or residence locations is provided by Arizona Stagecoach. Located in TIA baggage claim. Call (520) 889-1000 for reservations at least 24 hours in advance of pick-up.

The Military shuttle to Sierra Vista is provided by Transportation Express LLC, designated by the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) contracted shuttle to Sierra Vista. Call toll-free (888) 459-3398 or (520) 459-7778 in Tucson.

Taxis are located on the commercial roadway on the lower level at the front of the terminal.

Taxi service from TIA is provided by four companies under contract with Tucson Airport Authority. Rates are $4.50 flag drop, $2.25 each mile, and $22.00 per hour waiting time. There is no extra charge for baggage or more than one person going to the same location.

Rental Cars

The Tucson International Airport recently remodeled its wing for car rentals. Nine rental car agencies rental counters and parking garage are located immediately adjacent to the main terminal.

To get to the Rental Cars Pick-Up at the Tucson airport, go past the Welcome Lounge at "A" Baggage. Follow the signs to the car rental offices.

• Airport Pick Up: Rental car counters and three-level rental car parking garage are located immediately adjacent to the main terminal.
• Airport Return: Take Tucson Blvd. south to the terminal entrance and follow the upper level roadway past the terminal following signs to rental car facility.
• Alternate Return Route: Take Country Club south of Valencia and follow road signs to airport complex.
• Off Airport Rental Cars: Some agencies provide pick up services at TIA. Passengers can call them at a service phone that is located in the rental car breezeway.
