Miners’ Dinner at Cave Creek Museum

Cave Creek Museum will host the 15thannual Miners’ Dinner on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4-8:30 PM. This sellout event celebrates the rich history and vibrant Cave Creek community.

The event will feature renown entertainment expert Johnny Hotshot. For more than 25 years, Johnny Hotshot has performed an amazing display of gun spinning, trick shooting, trick roping and whip cracking, all delivered with a rowdy cowboy style that is thrilling and fun for audiences of all ages.

Hotshot has performed at virtually every style of venue from intimate saloon settings to theaters and rodeo arenas. As a gun spinner and trick shooter, he has been praised by law enforcement organizations nationally and internationally for the way he presents gun safety. His interactive strolling entertainment is extraordinary as he thrills groups of event goers with expert demonstrations of the tools of the cowboy. Fancy gun spinning, roping and some hijinks with rope magic as well as his steer roping lessons will have people roping like a pro in no time.

Hotshot’s awards and honors include:

•Three-time world champion Wild West Showman (Las Vegas international competition with the Wild West Performing Arts Society)

•Honorary lifetime member of the Hollywood Stuntman’s Hall of Fame

•Recipient of the 2010 Spirit of the West award

•First spokesperson for the National Day of the Cowboy

Other featured activities are:

• Al Fresco dining: Enjoy a delightful outdoor dining experience with a brand-new menu and caterer, and signature cocktails: Sip handcrafted cocktails as you mingle with fellow guests

• Silent auction: Explore an enticing array of items, including fine art, jewelry and special trips, all up for bid

• Lance Headlee, a noted local artist, will create a live painting during the event, which will be included in the silent auction. Other artists will make creations live for audience members

• Marless Fellows, a Cave Creek, Arizona-based artist, specializes in painting western people and animals and her work has been featured in many prominent artistic venues. She will create a piece at the Miner’s Dinner to benefit the museum’s education programs

• Nancy Breiman’s vibrant acrylic, oil, mixed media and watercolor work, will be featured on wearable art in a pop-up shop with proceeds benefiting the museum’s education programs. She actively participates in the Sonoran Arts League as an instructor

Dinner and raffle tickets can be purchased online at cavecreekmuseum.org, at the museum, or by mailing a check to the museum at 6140 E. Skyline Drive in Cave Creek, Ariz., 85331. The cost is $150 per person and reservations must be made in advance. Exclusive ticket availability for prior attendees. Seating is limited to 150 persons so please reserve early. Please note that no culture passes will be accepted for this special event.

The 54-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research, and interpretive exhibits.
