Tesoro Brings Cinematic Flamenco-Fusion to Hotel Congress

Southwest flamenco-fusion ensemble Tesoro returns to Hotel Congress on May 16 for a night of high-energy, emotionally charged instrumental storytelling. Led by the dynamic guitar duo of Brian Scott and Justin Fernandez, Tesoro blends flamenco fire with Latin rhythms, rock edge, and ambient textures—drawing comparisons to Rodrigo y Gabriela and Hermanos Gutiérrez but with a cinematic voice all their own.
Fresh off headlining regional festivals like the Tucson Folk Festival and a pair of SXSW showcases, the band will be performing music from their new album Ascension— a self-produced, genre-defying release that captures the soul of the Southwest.
