Dreampop pioneers THE AMERICAN ANALOG SET stellar debut LP THE FUN OF WATCHING FIREWORKS is getting the Numero Group reissue treatment with vinyl and digital release out today. Recorded in frontman Andrew Kenny’s grandparent’s livingroom in Ft Worth, TX and originally released in 1996, the album’s hushed and patient vocals, swirling farfisa and analog recording served to cement the Texas band in the hearts of their early fans and gained the AmAnSet an immediate and loyal following among recording enthusiasts.
Remastered from the original analog tapes, The Fun of Watching Fireworks reissue is available in a variety of formats including special edition vinyl- silver/grey Too Tired to Shine Vinyl, Numero Group exclusive blue Firework Splatter Vinyl, traditional black vinyl, and digital download.
Also available via Numero Group, The American Analog Set New Drifters 5xLP boxset of the band’s first 3 albums + 2 discs of demos and ephemera from the band’s storied history. The band will see a second boxset featuring their Tiger Style-era releases (Know By Heart, Promise of Love, Set Free) via Numero Group, release date TBA.

And this summer, The American Analog Set will perform their first East Coast shows in 20 years including a headline show at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on Saturday, August 9 between their sold out dates at Brooklyn Paramount with Death Cab for Cutie August 8, 10, 12. At their first shows out east in two decades, The American Analog Set will be playing back catalog fan favorites and, for the first time ever, songs from their latest LP For Forever.
