SVP Tucson Opens Applications for the 8th Annual Fast Pitch Program for 8 Nonprofits Fighting Social Justice and Serving the Underserved
Social Venture Partners (SVP) Tucson announces applications are now open for the 8th Annual Fast Pitch program.
SVP Tucson will be accepting 8 local nonprofits into their FREE training program that runs January
through May of 2023. During the centerpiece Main Event on Thursday, March 30, 2023, these
organizations will pitch to a live audience of donors, take their shot at over $100,000, and every
participant in the program will receive unrestricted grant funding support.
Fast Pitch is a keystone program of Social Venture Partners Tucson, an affiliate of the world’s largest engaged network of philanthropists and social changemakers.
In 2022, Fast Pitch provided the opportunity for local nonprofits to tell their stories to a global audience and receive part of over $230,000 in donations to amplify their missions.
“I stepped into SVP Tucson’s Fast Pitch process as a participant, I have emerged as a confident
leader. I have loved every minute of this journey and the impact it has made on me and on our
organization cannot be measured. I am forever grateful for this opportunity,” said Jennie Hedges,
Fast Pitch Class of 2022 participant and Program Manager of FosterEd Arizona.
SVP Tucson is accepting applications for Fast Pitch 2023 now through September 9, 2022.
Fast Pitch 2023 applicants must meet ONE or more of the areas of focus:
• Utilize a 2Gen approach
• Serve historically marginalized, under-served or under-resourced communities or populations
• Actively work to promote social justice, including racial and gender justice
“Fast Pitch is such an impactful program because it is centered in community. Over the past 8 years, we have been actively listening to our nonprofit sector and evolving our training program to provide the resources and support that they need most. We’ve seen consistent growth in revenues of organizations of all sizes that go through this transformational program.” said Ciara Garcia, Chief Executive Officer at SVP Tucson. “We are putting unrestricted grant funding directly into the hands of nonprofits, facilitating meaningful donor connections, creating nonprofit awareness, and building nonprofit resilience with our robust 2-phase training program.”
The Main Event will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Health and Science Innovation
Building at the University of Arizona and will include a virtual broadcast.
