In-Person Presentation: The Art of the Hohokam Culture on Wednesday, April 19 at 12 PM Only. Explore Hohokam pottery, weaving, and jewelry, beautifully crafted by the ancestral Sonoran Desert people who thrived in the Tucson valley almost 2,000 years ago. In this talk, we will gain a deeper understanding of their artistry, including their use of acid etching—perfected several hundred years before the technique was ever used in Europe. This event is free, requires a reservation, is limited to 60 attendees, and will occur inside. Face coverings are optional. Courtesy of Cleveland Museum of Art.
