Cave Creek Museum offers Craft Take it and Make it program

Cave Creek Museum has develop a program known as Craft Take it and Make it, a series of free craft kits. A number of the kits include beads and other craft materials and all kits provide directions so children can create their own pieces of art during this summer.

“These wonderful kits, prepared by museum staff, will help kids learn to love crafts,” says Evelyn Johnson, executive director for the museum.

Geared toward children ages 5-9 years old, the craft program will run through August 2023. Parents and grandparents can come to the museum between 9 AM-4 PM on the following dates to pick up a craft kit for their favorite young person:

• July 12, 13, 14 (Ice cream magnet)
• August 16, 17, 18

This program is made possible by the kind support of Kiwanis of Carefree.

The 52-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research and interpretive exhibits.
