CATALYST Creative Collective was established by the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance in 2019 to be an inspiring, innovative place where people from all walks of life connect through the shared experience of arts and culture. Located at Tucson Mall, this community space is ideal for gatherings, special events, workshops, art shows, retreats, concerts, and more.

With over 14,000 square feet available, the flexible-use rooms are equipped with an array of tables and chairs, WIFI upload speeds of 150+ mbps, four separate bathrooms, handwashing sinks, individual lockers for storing personal belongings, AV technology, and colorful murals and art installations. The collective hosts special events, fundraisers, seminars, presentations, arts experiences, rehearsals, performances and social gatherings from 25-300 people.

Painting ClassesArt Mixer is a unique Tucson paint and sip experience located inside of CATALYST Creative Collective! Attendees can choose step-by-step painting projects on canvas, wood board, wood cutouts, wine glasses, wine bottles and paint-and-take ceramics. Appointments are HIGHLY recommended to ensure your paint day/time. BYOB after 4pm!

Join us on Monday, September 9th at CATALYST in the Tucson Mall for a free model mixer! Socialize, dream and plan together, talk guild formation, and discuss anything else you’ve always wanted to talk over with other models but haven’t had the opportunity yet. All models across fashion, figure drawing, art photography, and other niche industries are welcome. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC models welcome.

ESPERANZA DANCE PROJECT

EDP’s Founder and Artistic Director Beth Braun is teaching Horton-based Modern Technique classes with some conditioning every Monday and Thursday night in June! Dancers interested in joining EDP for our upcoming season are invited to join us after class to learn choreography from our repertory.

It is the mission of Tucson Youth Music to enrich the lives of underserved youth in the greater Tucson Area through quality music education and free music lessons. We see a world where all youth have the opportunity to advance their lives through music education.

THE MINI TIME MACHINE MUSEUM OF MINIATURES
We are thrilled to announce that CATALYST will be partnering with the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures for a series of miniature workshops beginning in September!

Minis For All: Join us for Minis for All, our monthly DIY mini project, designed to inspire creativity and an appreciation for the art of miniatures. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, all skill levels are welcome! $10 per session/kit. Advanced registration is required HERE

September 14th: Miniature T-Shirt Design 1 pm- 3 pm
November 9th: Tiny Basket and Veggies 1 pm-3 pm

Minis and Sip: Join us for an evening of spirits and miniatures! In this class, you’ll learn step-by-step how to create your own miniature in a fun, social atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome (wine, small bites, and materials included). 21+ Advanced registration is required.

Theatre in Miniature is a two-day workshop where you learn to construct a toy theatre. Inspired by the 19th-century tradition, we’ll recreate miniature versions of classical theatres using DIY kits. Utilizing a cardboard box as our foundation, we’ll embellish the structure with classic printed designs or unleash our creativity to craft our own décor. Advanced registration is required HERE.

• Mister Ronstadt is recording and releasing a series of performance videos from CATALYST’s Collaborate Room this summer! Mister Ronstadt is the kid’s music project of Peter Dalton Ronstadt, who aims to bring folk music into classrooms throughout the Southwest. Listen here!

• Last weekend, July Artist-in-Residence Ben Pawlowski led his first of four Saturday workshops open to the whole family. A Crash Course on Creating with Cardboard, Ben guided families in learning to craft art out of cardboard, including with functional 3D cardboard art! Visit CATALYST from 1pm-4pm every Saturday in July to attend a FREE workshop from Ben!
