Rhonda Vincent, the “All American Bluegrass Girl,” is a multi-award-winning singer and musician from Greentop, Missouri. Born into a musical family, Rhonda began performing at a young age, singing and playing with her family’s band, The Sally Mountain Show. Discovered by Grand Ole Opry Star Jim Ed Brown, Rhonda’s career evolved into a successful bluegrass music path. Her pivotal album “Back Home Again” earned her the title “New Queen of Bluegrass” from The Wall Street Journal in 2000. Rhonda’s impressive accolades include a 2017 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, 8 IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year awards, and induction into the Grand Ole Opry in 2021. This festival favorite hails from just east of Charlotte, Deeper Shade of Blue is comprised of Troy Pope (guitar/vocals), Frank Poindexter (dobro/vocals), Scott Burgess (bass/vocals), Chad Day (banjo), and Milom Williams II (mandolin/vocals). The band has been together for 21 years and self-produced six albums. A quick search on YouTube will no doubt prove why this band has been a favorite in their region for so long.
