The Oak Ridge Boys Release New Music Video & Tour

GRAMMY® Award winners and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees The Oak Ridge Boys are proud to unveil the official video for their most recent single, “Come On Home,” from their current album, Mama’s Boys, released by Lightning Rod Records/Thirty Tigers.

The video, which premiered online by Whiskey Riff, was primarily filmed at the home of William Lee Golden and beautifully showcases The Oak Ridge Boys’ enduring connection with family values. “Come On Home” offers a touching tribute to faith and family and is a comforting reminder that no matter where life takes you, you are always welcome home—especially by your “mama.”

The “Come On Home” music video will make its television premiere on The Heartland Network’s ‘Country Music Today,’ Thursday, May 8 at 5:30 pm ET/PT. It will also air on the networks’ livestream at 5:30 PM ET and on the free It’s Real Good TV app. (www.itsrealgoodtv.com)

“Our mothers were always our biggest supporters,” shares William Lee Golden. “There’s nothing that compares to a mother’s love. Honoring our mothers with this album felt very important and releasing the video for ‘Come On Home’ in time for Mother’s Day made sense. And, if you watch closely, you’ll spot our good friend and fellow Country Music Hall of Famer, Jimmy Fortune of The Statler Brothers, playing Ben’s father. The video was directed by Brandon Wood / IndieBling.”

The group, known for their timeless harmonies and captivating performances, will also be joining Talk Shop Live on Tuesday, May 6 at 7:00 PM ET for a special interview discussing their career and offering limited autographed items in time for Mother’s Day.

Mama’s Boys is The Oak Ridge Boys’ fifth collaboration with GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb and was recorded at the iconic RCA Studio A and Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Leading up to its release, the group built anticipation with standout singles like the heartfelt “I Thought About You, Lord” featuring Willie Nelson and the nostalgic “That’s The Way Mama Made It.” The album also marks a special milestone as the first to feature Ben James as tenor. Since joining the group over a year ago, Ben has captured the hearts of The Oak Ridge Boys’ fans.

SEBASTIAN SCHUB RELEASES NEW SINGLE & TOUR

Sebastian Schub has released his new single “Scared of Screaming” – stream HERE via Island EMI / Capitol Records.
A beautifully melancholic tune with rich uplifting vocal delivery, “Scared of Screaming” was produced by Dann Hume in Wales. Alongside today’s track, Sebastian Schub has also announced his upcoming debut EP Sing Like Madonna, set for release on June 6th.

“I think Scared of Screaming is more dear to me than any song on this EP. The lyrics were slowly gathering on a note on my phone and for a long time I was struggling to find a home for them that felt appropriate, until I met the wonderful Dann Hume and Theo Hutchcraft. Dann got out his sweet and sultry baritone guitar and two hours later the song was done.” – Sebastian Schub on “Scared of Screaming”

Sing Like Madonna Track List:

Sing Like Madonna
Scared Of Screaming
Blisters & Sunburn
Ruin Me
April 15th , the end
Be Still
I Can’t Believe We Never Went Out Dancing

This summer, Sebastian Schub will perform headlining shows in both New York and Los Angeles and will support Noah Kahan at BST Hyde Park in London on July 4th. Full dates are listed below.

Sebastian Schub has lived a thousand lives before the one presented on debut single “Sing Like Madonna.” An opera singer, actor, busker and now solo star in waiting, the German-born, London-based artist has gone from performing on the streets to blowing up on TikTok, every one of these disparate experiences moulding him into a special and distinctive new voice.

Born in Hamburg, Seb was enrolled into the city’s youth opera academy as a five-year-old, learning mime and musical theatre as well as singing. When he moved to London as 17-year-old, his initial dream was to make it as an actor. With work in that field eluding him, he busked on the streets to make money.

Though he attended – and then dropped out of – music school, Seb found that the real work required to make it in music came from the hard yards of busking and pub gigs rather than a formal education.

While the days would be spent playing songs by other artists, it would be at 11pm on the South Bank, “when everyone had stopped listening,” that Seb would try new things out and find different tones and styles to his voice. He then scraped together some originals to get slots at Camden’s Spiritual Bar, the legendary open-mic venue that hosted early gigs from the likes of Michael Kiwanuka and Jade Bird, and who wouldn’t accept performances of covers.

With his rich, deep voice, he captivated rooms previously awash with inane chatter, and got busy and impatient Londoners to pause their stomps around the city to watch him perform on the pavement.

After putting in the proverbial 10,000 hours, doing the hard yards and playing the dead gigs, it was somewhat perfect that Seb’s music then exploded online overnight. Immediate virality is somewhat common for songwriters in 2025, but very few experience it after toiling away like he has, meaning that Seb was ready for the whirlwind that is sure to follow. It made him wise to the machinations of the music industry, choosing the label deal that was right for him – with Island EMI/Capitol Records – and the path that honours his troubadour-like beginnings. Paradoxically, he’s an old-fashioned songwriter whose big break came from a quirk of the hyper-modern music industry.

Working with Steve Fitzmaurice (Glen Hansard, Sam Smith) and Rob Kirwan (Hozier, PJ Harvey), he then settled into a working relationship with Kiwi producer Dann Hume (Laura Mvula, Matt Corby) and decamped to work and record at his studio on Barry Island, Wales (“It’s in a church literally opposite Stacey’s house – I had to watch the show to catch up on the culture!”) A competent producer himself, Schub found in Hume a collaborator who “does everything that I do but better than me. The creative choices he makes are often what I like anyway. He’ll plug the guitar in and make it sound exactly the way I would want it to sound.”

Sebastian Schub is the proverbial young head on wise shoulders. His songwriting finds its inspiration within the Glen Hansards of the world (the beloved Irish troubadour who brought his no-nonsense songwriting to Broadway and the West End in the award-winning musical Once, alongside a swathe of gritty, ruminative LPs operating distinctly outside of the mainstream). Hansard’s honesty and realism captured Schub’s imagination from an early age, and it’s that honesty and realism that drives his own songcraft in the otherwise modern day.

As is becoming a theme, it took Seb time and effort to find his lyrical voice, too. “English isn’t really my language and I didn’t speak it until I was 15,” he says, “so I wasn’t really thinking about lyrics much when I started.” He studied English Literature, giving him a greater grasp of the language’s nuances and power. “I read Jane Eyre four times – in English, in German, in English and then in English again, just to get it. It’s work that’s really paid off. It took a long time, but now I can really trust that I know how to talk and write now.”

Though he might only be crossing your radar very recently, Seb’s musical history is a rich and detailed one defined by hard graft. It’s shown on a debut EP packed with depth, heart and ambition – the latest building block for a future star and one that’s been a long time coming.

PUNCHBAG’s Debut EP & Tour

South London sibling duo PUNCHBAG have released their highly anticipated debut EP I’m Not Your Punchbag via Mute. They have also shared the video for “You Used To Be So Sexy” and announced their debut headline show at London’s Bermondsey Social Club on May 29, 2025.

Listen to the EP HERE.

Watch the video for “You Used To Be So Sexy” HERE.

So distinctive is the music that Clara and Anders Bach make as PUNCHBAG, where unapologetically sugar-sweet pop hooks clash with radical leftfield production, where emotional overwhelm can be purged in the space of a single throwaway lyric, where lines are blurred and redrawn between aggression and joy, softness and toughness, that they’ve had to come up with a term of their own to describe it: Aggressive Hopecore.

As that tag suggests, debut EP I’m Not Your Punchbag swings between dizzying extremes.“We want to be the most pop thing we can in a left-field context, and be the most left-field in a pop context,” says Anders. “We’re constantly playing with the idea of how far we can take each direction.”

Completing their debut EP today is new single “You Used To Be So Sexy,” a sweeping sad-banger which craftily reframes phone addiction through the lens of a toxic relationship. Proof that whichever way PUNCHBAG’s emotions swing, their central catharsis remains: “I think being able to dance about something really awful can be quite important,” says Clara.

Clocking in at just under 15 minutes, PUNCHBAG’s debut EP is a breathless introduction. Take “Fuck It” for example, which opens the EP in a grand wash of entrancing synths and piercing beats. Clara sings of a life buffeted by anxiety and the fear of wasting time: “We might as well just say go fuck it!” she exclaims. “’Cos we’re all gonna die, die, die!” This central refrain might be viewed as PUNCHBAG’s manifesto, although “it’s not nihilistic,” Clara insists. “It’s more like, we only have so much time, so do the thing you want to do. Kiss the person you want to kiss, say that thing you want to say.”

The title track “I’m Not Your Punchbag” follows, proving a combative cut of razor-sharp pop that offers a message of defiance. “It comes from a ‘harmless’ small remark made to me at a dinner table once that really cut deep,” says Clara. “From this small seed, if you like, the song grew into a kind of anthem for fighting back – a refusal to let people dump their shit on you.” It was after writing it that they realised that ‘PUNCHBAG’ made a good band name too. “This song helps explain the band name and our ethos,” Clara continues. “It’s something to scream along to; a perfect therapy. ‘Don’t take it out on me, bitch!’”

“Pretty Youth”, meanwhile, is a purge of manic synths and guitars, hinging on another of Clara’s instant-earworm chants: “Scammer! Conner! Thief thief thief!” It’s an anti-coming-of-age anthem, she says. “We’re sold that this is the most romantic time of your life, but really a lot of it is spent in the dark suffering.”

PUNCHBAG’s debut EP makes a perfect mirror for the relentless headfuck that defines modern existence. “It’s not escapism, we’re not making a fantasy world,” Clara points out. “It’s reflective of right now.” Nor, however, should this record be reduced to political tub-thumping. “We’re not chasing the news, or just writing about what’s going on – we’re making music that is about people’s reactions to what’s going on. Their feelings, emotions and thoughts,” she continues.

PUNCHBAG are the kind of band who think about all aspects of their art. Nowhere is this clearer than onstage, where their extreme duality is at its clearest. Their first ever show, on the storied stage of the Brixton Windmill, was less than a year ago, but from the off they demonstrated an uncanny skill for commanding a crowd. “We take it seriously,” says Clara. This steeliness is paired with a chaotic stage presence, defined by improvisatory dance moves and infectious energy. “At the end of the set, I just scream until everyone’s jumping,” she says. “We want it to be cathartic, but also really joyful. Joy is one of the things that you can’t really argue with, it’s not an opinion – you can either get involved or not.”

“We’d rather someone had a strong adverse reaction to our music than it be just played in the background,” says Anders. He needn’t worry, of course – PUNCHBAG’s chaotic, compelling, utterly cathartic debut is guaranteed to grab attention.

PUNCHBAG’s debut EP I’m Not Your Punchbag is out now on Mute. PUNCHBAG plays The Great Escape Festival in Brighton this month before headlining Bermondsey Social Club in London on May 29th. Follow PUNCHBAG on Instagram for news of more live shows in the coming months.

Moody Blues’ John Lodge to Launch New Tour

John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, has announced he will be back on the road with an electrifying new show titled ‘Singer in a Rock and Roll Band’!

Following the phenomenal success of his ‘Days of Future Passed’ show over the last two years, John wanted to now go back to basics… what are the songs that he loved performing in the Moody Blues? How could he bring these enduring songs to audiences, staying true to the original sound, yet breathing new life into them? These songs might have been discovered by listeners on release, or by newer generations later, but whenever they first heard them, they made an indelible impression on them. John’s task was clear, he wanted to recreate the sound and the feel of a Moody Blues show of the past, but at the same time bring in the incredible musicianship of his band, and his experience of performing these songs for over 50 years, to give these classic songs that extra dash of magic.

When John wrote the hit single ‘Singer’ in 1972 it was because people were looking to him to change the world… this composition replied that he’s just a singer in a rock and roll band! But his message went on – John wanted everyone to be part of the music, and if you’ve ever experienced one of John’s shows you will know how true this is. The music and camaraderie will lift you up, it may not change the world, but it might make it a little brighter…

This incredible new show will feature songs from ‘the core seven albums’ including ‘Days of Future Passed’, Seventh Sojourn, and more, plus ‘Octave’ and the triple platinum selling album ‘Long Distance Voyager. It will bring together some of the captivating moments of his ‘Days of Future Passed’ show, all of John’s hits with the Moodies, and, of course, tributes to all his bandmates. This truly will be a show of Moodies Magic and ‘a trip worth taking and remembering’! (Tony Violanti review of John’s show March 24, 2025)

Together with Jon Davison of YES and his 10,000 Light Years Band, John will lovingly recreate ‘I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)’, ‘Nights in White Satin’, ‘Ride my See-Saw’, ‘Gemini Dream’, ‘Tuesday Afternoon’, ‘The Voice’, ‘Steppin’ in Slide Zone’, ‘Isn’t Life Strange’ and much more. Also, experience deep cuts from these classic albums, and, together with the electrifying video and lights, be taken on a journey through time.

The tour kicks off on July 19th at the Vogel in New Jersey, and continues through to Des Plaines, IL on August 7th.

Limited VIP merch packages will also be available, go to: https://www.johnlodge.com/tour.

Following a stroke at the end of 2023, John has gone from strength to strength, driven by his love for this music, and his deeply held desire to continue to share it with the fans. The critically acclaimed shows in July and November 2024 are testament to his passion and commitment, and as John says, his hope is that people leave with a little bit of joy around them.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure performing Days in its entirety over the last couple of years, but I’m so excited about our new show… there are a few songs I’ve not performed before that I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and many of our classic songs seem to have taken on a new meaning following health challenges, so I hope everyone will enjoy continuing on this journey with me. I’m doing great, and I just love to share this music with the fans. I look out and see familiar faces, and occasionally some new ones, and I love what we’ve shared over so many decades. Thank you for keeping the faith.”

Check out the tour video here: https://youtu.be/l_32O8687sw

This incredible new show will also be in support of John’s new EP ‘Love Conquers All’ out now. Signed copies are also available including limited edition vinyl.

AMERICAN ANALOG SET REISSUE DEBUT LP & TOUR

Dreampop pioneers THE AMERICAN ANALOG SET stellar debut LP THE FUN OF WATCHING FIREWORKS is getting the Numero Group reissue treatment with vinyl and digital release out today. Recorded in frontman Andrew Kenny’s grandparent’s livingroom in Ft Worth, TX and originally released in 1996, the album’s hushed and patient vocals, swirling farfisa and analog recording served to cement the Texas band in the hearts of their early fans and gained the AmAnSet an immediate and loyal following among recording enthusiasts.

Remastered from the original analog tapes, The Fun of Watching Fireworks reissue is available in a variety of formats including special edition vinyl- silver/grey Too Tired to Shine Vinyl, Numero Group exclusive blue Firework Splatter Vinyl, traditional black vinyl, and digital download.

Also available via Numero Group, The American Analog Set New Drifters 5xLP boxset of the band’s first 3 albums + 2 discs of demos and ephemera from the band’s storied history. The band will see a second boxset featuring their Tiger Style-era releases (Know By Heart, Promise of Love, Set Free) via Numero Group, release date TBA.
