Cave Creek Museum introduces Passport to History for children who visit the museum during the month of May.
The new program is a museum-wide scavenger hunt done with the help of an accompanying adult. With passport in hand, kids can explore all areas of the museum to discover the natural wonders and desert foothills real-life stories. When children complete their journey, they receive a Cave Creek Museum treasure gift bag to take home. Admission is free for children 12 and under. No registration is required. This event is part of Kiwanis Family Month.
The 54-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research, and interpretive exhibits. The Cave Creek Museum is located at 6140 E. Skyline Drive in Cave Creek, Ariz., 480.488.2764. Open October through May.
