Cave Creek Museum Presents plans ”The Dust Never Settles” event
On Saturday, October 15 from 2-4 PM, Cave Creek Museum Presents will showcase a session featuring Stacey Goodman, author of “The Dust Never Settles,” a riveting, first-hand account from inside Ground Zero
Cave Creek resident Goodman was a Suffolk County police officer who had federal disaster training in 2001. When she was called to help in a highly secured area of Ground Zero, she witnessed first-hand the horrific details of the terror attacks that decimated the world’s financial center. Her new book describes her 23 days on the pile and working at the center of the rescue and recovery efforts.
Goodman has been featured numerous times in national and local media. She will share aspects of her life and career that prepared her. Members are free and non-members can attend the program with a museum admission ticket. Sign up at cavecreekmuseum.org. Reservations recommended.
