CHARLIE PUTH RELEASES NEW SINGLE & TOUR

April 22 - July 30

With just weeks to go until the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album Whatever’s Clever!, internationally acclaimed Charlie Puth releases his latest single “Home” Ft. Hikaru Utada, with an official music video directed by Hunter Moreno, both out today via Atlantic Records. Watch HERE.

“Home was written for my best friend, wife and soon to be mother of our first child. Brooke has changed my life for the better and given me a whole new perspective on why and where I belong in this world. Everything makes sense with her” Puth continues “and to have the honor of one of my favorite artists, Hikaru Utada featuring on this song with me, is a true gift. She gives the song a depth and beauty that I’m so grateful for. She is incredible! I hope you all enjoy is as much as I did making it.”

Hikaru Utada shares, “as a fellow songwriter and music listener, it was obvious to me when I first heard the demo of “Home” that this is a deeply personal song for Charlie that comes straight from his heart. It was a joy to collaborate with such a gifted musician who wears his love of music on his sleeve… and a very fun challenge to contribute Japanese lyrics to an English song, from creating rhyme in languages that have such different phonetics, to being surprised by Charlie’s beautiful Japanese chorus work. I hope everyone enjoys this bilingual song and its universal message.”

“Home” Ft. Hikaru Utada arrives amidst a busy year for Charlie Puth, who embarks on his WHATEVER’S CLEVER! World Tour, starting in San Diego’s Viejas Arena on April 22. Followed by a European tour in June and July. Last month, the award-winning artist performed a soulful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to open the Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Backed by an orchestra and Kenny G, playing his signature Rhodes piano, his stellar performance garnered praise from around the world, as millions tuned in.

To date he has amassed over 35 billion career streams, nine multi-platinum singles (including “Attention,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” “See You Again” & more), four GRAMMY nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, a Critic’s Choice Award, and a Golden Globe nomination. Puth is currently working on his highly anticipated fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2022’s CHARLIE which featured platinum-certified hit single “Light Switch” and “Left and Right” featuring Jung Kook of BTS. Meanwhile, his 2021 co-penned/produced single “Stay” for The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber reigned #1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart for eleven weeks, and his collaboration with Gabby Barrett on their “I Hope (Remix)” earned him his fourth top 10 charting track on the Billboard Hot 100.

About Hikaru Utada
Since their debut on December 9, 1998, Hikaru Utada has achieved remarkable milestones in their career. Their first single, “Automatic/time will tell,” sold over two million copies, establishing them as one of Japan’s top artists at just 15 years old. Their debut album, “First Love,” shattered sales records that remain unbroken today. In 2022, Utada released their eighth album, “BAD MODE,” featuring collaborations with Skrillex, A.G. Cook, and Floating Points, earning critical acclaim as Pitchfork’s Best Album of the Year. That same year, they made their festival debut at Coachella with 88rising. The following year, the Netflix series “First Love”, inspired by Utada’s iconic single of the same name, became a major hit across Japan and Asia. Marking 25 years since their debut, Utada returned in April 2024 with the definitive greatest hits album “SCIENCE FICTION”, followed by the HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024, which included stops in Hong Kong and Taipei. In 2025, they released a series of “Electricity” remixes by renowned producers and made a surprise appearance at Coachella during Arca’s set. They also delivered a standout guest performance at SONICMANIA during Floating Points’ set, marking Utada’s first-ever performance at a Japanese music festival. The following month, “JANE DOE,” a collaboration with Kenshi Yonezu, quickly became a major hit both in Japan and internationally. As the momentum continues to build, anticipation is growing for Utada’s next chapter in 2026.
