Courtesy of NPS.Join us on April 29 during the last weekend of National Park Week for an intimate look at this month’s featured park: White Sands. Susan Lamb, author of the new book White Sands National Park, will present a program about the wonders of one of America’s newest national parks, featuring highlights from her research, photos from the book, and personal experiences in the park. Special guest and White Sands National Park Chief of Resources David Bustos will speak about groundbreaking park discoveries that change our understanding of early human history in the Americas. White Sands NP is within a day’s drive of Tucson, located near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following an audience Q&A, Susan Lamb will be on hand to sign copies of her engaging, informative, and beautifully illustrated new book.
Copies will be available for purchase at The National Parks Store.
This event is free, requires a reservation, is limited to 60 attendees, and will occur inside. Face coverings are optional.
