In-Person Presentation: Iconic Objects, Sites, and People in Tucson Part II on Wednesday, March 22, 12 PM & 2 PM. Join Alan Kruse, local historian and tour guide, to learn more about several objects, sites, and people in Tucson and the story behind them. The focus will be on the history and public art of Tucson. Items include Lalo Guerrero and his battle with Disney, Bike Church, the President’s Pond on the UA campus, the bell from the USS Arizona, the Bear Down story, Jennie Finch, and Toby the griffin sculpture. The goal is to make life more enjoyable by appreciating our surroundings.
