INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY AND STAR WARS ACTOR DEEP ROY JOINS TUCSON COMIC-CON

TUCSON, AZ – Tucson Comic-Con’s latest wave of guests includes actor Deep Roy and Will Eisner Hall of Famer Mike Friedrich. Mark your calendar and prepare for an incredible fan experience with these amazing talents and many more!

Deep Roy is an actor with over 30 years of experience who has brought a myriad of memorable characters to life on screen! Roy has been in several Tim Burton pictures, including Corpse Bride, Planet of the Apes, and worked alongside actor Johnny Depp as the infamous Oompa Loompa in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! He was even a member of everyone’s favorite Star Wars cantina band, portraying the pudgy band member Droopy Mc Cool in the Sy Snootles & Max Reebo Band in the film Return of the Jedi! Roy’s credits include The Neverending Story, Disney’s The Haunted Mansion, Dr. Who; this list goes on and on!

Mike Friedrich is a Comic Book Writer & Publisher known for works across DC, Marvel, and beyond! Friedrich was in the first wave of comics fans who became professional writers and artists starting in the mid-1960’s. His DC writing includes Justice League of America and solo stories of Robin the Boy Wonder.

In 1972 Friedrich wrote for Marvel Comics’ IRON MAN for four years. In that span, Mike co-created “Moondragon” in Iron Man #54 and an issue later wrote the first appearance of the Jim Starlin-created characters Thanos, Drax, and Starfox. Marvel credits also include Ant-Man, KA-ZAR, and Morbius.
