Introduction to Jazz and Blues Workshop Series

Each workshop will cover intermediate and advanced concepts for playing Blues and Jazz – including scales, modes, progressions, turnarounds and practical applications for them. Workshops are designed for Guitar Bass and Keyboard players, but all instruments welcome.
There will also be a jam for participants on November 29th to use the techniques they have learned. This workshop series will be a lot of fun and is recommended for intermediate and advanced musicians, however all levels are welcome.

About Lamont: Lamont Arthur is a career musician with over 50 years experience in the music business. He is versed in many different styles of music ranging from: Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel, Latin, Reggae, Rock as well as his own original music. He has a heart for spreading the knowledge and teaching what he knows about music to those who really want to learn.
He has played with many of Tucson’s top groups including the likes of Sam Taylor, Street Pajama, Arthur Brand Band, Bondavi, Neon Prophet, Bloolyte, The LPJ Hammond organ Trio, George Howard Band, The Phil Davis Jazz Session, Adalberto Gallegos and many more groups as well as performing as a soloist.
