Louis The Child come full circle with their new single, “Believe It” (with Madeon), released today via Interscope Records. Listen to the bouncy, garage and French touch inspired dance-pop song
Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, who comprise Louis The Child, explain, “’Believe It’ is a real full circle moment for us. We first met at a Madeon show, and he was the first artist who ever took us on tour. It’s such a perfect song to make memories to throughout the summer.”
The acclaimed Chicago production duo originally met as teenagers at a Madeon concert and immediately bonded over a shared love of jazz, EDM and indie rock. That blend of influences was felt in their earliest collaborative tracks. Breakthrough single “It’s Strange” with K. Flay caught tastemakers’ ears in 2015 and catapulted Louis The Child to the top of the modern dance scene. Five years after the two met, they found themselves opening on the European leg of Madeon and Porter Robinson’sShelter tour. “Believe It” is the duo’s first collaboration with their longtime hero.
“I remember when I first met Louis The Child – I knew something special was going to happen for them. It’s been fun watching their career blossom!” Madeon adds. “When they asked me to collaborate, it felt like such a fun, full-circle moment. Making ‘Believe It’ was such a joyful, spontaneous experience. I hope that spirit comes across in the music! It makes me feel like what being a teen in the 90s must have felt like, that first wave of French house music.”
Louis The Child has charted over 20 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs tally and amassed nearly two billion combined career streams. The duo will headline Brooklyn Mirage on August 17 as part of Alter-Ego, a festival they founded in 2022.
