Tucson Business Owners presents Make It Matter Monday November 15, 2021 – 5:30 to 7:00 PM at St. Philip’s Plaza Courtyard located at 4280 N. Campbell at River.
The event will feature Laura Conover, Pima County Attorney who will share information about the initiatives her office would like to pursue with businesses in 2022. Following brief comments, Ms. Conover will be available for one-on-one discussions.
Elected as the Pima County Attorney in 2020, she is the third woman to hold the office, second defense attorney, and first victims’ rights attorney. She has assembled a diverse senior leadership team focusing on reform, transparency, and accountability as core objectives, including reforming cash bail, end all use of capital punishment, diverting cases of substance use disorder and mental illness to treatment, and protect those with vulnerable immigration status. Ms. Conover was raised in Tucson and earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arizona.
