For nearly a century, baseball has been a crucial social and cultural force in Latino
communities across the United States. And, for just as long, Latino/a players have
had a huge impact on the game. To celebrate this history, SITES proudly
presents ¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues / En los barrios y las grandes
ligas, a bilingual journey into the heart of American baseball.

This bi-limgual Smithsonian traveling exhibition opens at the Tucson Desert Art Museum on January 14, 2023. Opening Reception will be held on Tuesday, January 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Tickets $15 in advance; $20 at the door. More information will follow shortly on this event.
