Sol Dog Donations

October 2 - October 31

You’ve given more than $11,000 toward matching the generous $20,000 matching gift offered by our donor.

Your support can help someone take the first step toward safety, knowing their dog has a safe place to stay while they rebuild.

Thank you for making that possible. We still have $8,700 to raise to reach the goal, and your gift can help us be there for the next family who needs us.

Fall is finally here and Sol Dog has been busier than ever. But we’re not busy starting early holiday preparations, we’re inundated with calls for our Safety Net program.

Help a neighbor in need🐾

So far in 2026, Sol Dog received 104 requests for safety net assistance.

Families call when someone is hospitalized, loses housing, enters rehabilitation, or faces another crisis that makes caring for their dog difficult.

When someone in our community calls for help, we always want to assist, but we can only do so if we have the funds.

When Lucky’s owner was unexpectedly hospitalized, her neighbors cared for her as long as they could. They called us when Lucky, a 5-year-old Aussie mix, needed more help than they could provide.

Our team picked Lucky up, took her to a veterinarian, and brought her to Sol Dog for a safe place to rest. She received grooming and support from our team before moving into a foster home. Three weeks later, when her owner was well enough, Lucky went home. We also helped her owner find resources to help support Lucky’s continued care.

That kind of response takes caring neighbors, a committed team, foster support, and funding. If you’d like to help us be there for the next dog and family who call, please consider a gift to our Safety Net Program.

An anonymous donor has provided matching funds up to $20,000. You make a donation of $25 and it turns into $50. You donate $1,000 and the matching funds turn it into $2,000. We have matched almost $10,000 and do not want the rest of this generous donation to go to waste.
