Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

The solar eclipse is coming to NYC and we’re saving you a front row seat! Experience this amazing celestial event from our open lawns with spectacular views of the Hudson River and open sky above on April 8, 12:00PM – 5:00PM.
Immerse yourself in the festivities with live music and storytime with the Riverdale Library. Pot sunflower and moonflower seeds to take home and more. This free community event promises solar-spirited fun for everyone!
The eclipse will be visible in the Bronx from 2:10PM to 4:36PM, with the peak occurring at 3:25PM. All registrants receive a pair of safety-certified eclipse viewing glasses.
Grab a light lunch at the Café or bring snacks to enjoy in our outdoor picnic areas. Personal chairs and blankets are allowed for this special event and a limited number of folding chairs are available to borrow.
