Sydney Rose New Single & “I KNOW WHAT I WANT” HEADLINE TOUR

November 17, 2025 - December 7, 2025

New York, NY (November 14th, 2025) – Gearing up for Christmastime, Georgia-born and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sydney Rose serves up a new single entitled “The Holiday” out now via Mercury Records. It stands out as her very first holiday release.

Listen HERE. Watch the accompanying video HERE.

Capping off a breakthrough 2025, her hit single “We Hug Now” also notably just received a Gold certification from the RIAA.

With “The Holiday,” Sydney reflects upon the season in her own way. Over softly creaking chords, she paints a picture of returning home and into the tense embrace of old memories. Gentle horns underscore her delivery, and she announces, “I’m coming home for the holiday, I haven’t changed. I just stayed the same. I miss you. I do.” Nervous about running into an ex out shopping, she admits, “I’m afraid that I don’t like December.” It’s a relatable portrait of what it’s like to not really want to go home for the holidays, and it’s also indicative of her unique and uncanny perspective as an emotionally acute Gen-Z songstress.

The song arrives following the release of a recent cover she did with Medium Build of “Sympathy Is A Knife”- listen HERE. Sydney is currently performing across Europe and the United States on her I Know What I Want Tour. Following October gigs in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and France, the U.S. leg commences with a show at Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY on November 17, which sold out within days. She will also visit major markets coast-to-coast, concluding at Barboza in Seattle, WA on December 12.

In other news, her I Know What I Want EP will now be available on color vinyl for the first time ever. Pre-order HERE.

Following a quiet grind, “We Hug Now” has fueled Sydney’s reintroduction this year. Initially, it overtook TikTok, inciting 1.3 million “creates” and generating 10 billion cumulative views, reaching the Top 15 of the TikTok Top Songs Chart. Approaching nearly 250 million global streams, the song landed in the Top 3 of the Spotify US and Global Viral 50 Charts, the Top 15 of the Shazam US Top Songs Chart, Top 30 of the Apple US Songs Chart, and Top 20 of the Genius Overall Chart. Plus, she entered and quickly hit Top 20 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart and hit Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Alternative Songs Charts. Not to mention, she has now attracted over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and just made her debut on Spotify’s Top Songs Chart in the U.S.

Simultaneously, the singer and songwriter has garnered enthusiastic critical acclaim. Billboard noted, “The post-relationship song starts as a gentle, echoing ballad, à la Rose’s musical hero Phoebe Bridgers – but it’s the climax, after a switch to a more cathartic mid tempo singalong, that has taken off on TikTok, with countless users connecting with the lyrics.”

This summer, Sydney joined a massive lineup at BST Hyde Park on July 4, including Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, FINNEAS, Gigi Perez, and many more. Most recently, she released fan favorites “I Stopped Trying” featuring Delaney Bailey and “Before & After You” – which was inspired by the hugely popular television seriesThe Last Of Us.

Stay tuned for new music and existing collaborations from Sydney Rose in 2026.

ABOUT SYDNEY ROSE
Music will always be there for us—especially when we don’t have the words to express what we want to say. Georgia-born and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist Sydney Rose writes songs for those moments.

As she sings, it almost sounds like she’s whispering in your ear, giving you a boost of confidence, offering a little clarity, or just reminding you everything will be okay. Growing up in the suburbs of Atlanta, she picked up ukulele, piano, and guitar. Building an audience organically on social media, she broke through with a viral take on “Turning Page” by Sleeping At Last. It gathered over 67 million Spotify streams, led to her first label deal at 18-years-old, and set the stage for 2022’s You Never Met Me EP. A year later, she unveiled her debut LP, One Sided, highlighted by “You’d Be Stars” [feat. Chloe Moriondo]. She received co-signs courtesy of everyone from Olivia Rodrigo and Addison Grace who invited her on tour.

In the Fall of 2024, Sydney found herself unexpectedly released by her label. Now settled in Nashville, she reflected inwardly and returned all her focus to honing her music. She independently dropped the fan favorite voice notes EP. While sitting at the piano one day, she crafted “We Hug Now.” It exploded on TikTok and inspired over 1 million “creates,” yielding 6.5 billion total views and reaching the Top 15 of the TikTok Top Songs Chart. “We Hug Now” catapulted to the Top 3 of the Spotify US and Global Viral 50 Charts. Amassing 190 million streams and counting, she entered and quickly hit Top 20 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart and hit Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Alternative Songs Charts. Now, Sydney continues to captivate with her I Know What I Want EP, which marks her first release under her new label home, Mercury Records.
