The 2022 Sky Islands Fall Artisan Market returns to Patagonia, AZ October 8 & 9, 2022
The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance and Sky Islands Tourism Association proudly announce the event details for the Sky Islands Fall Artisan Market on October 8 & 9, 2022.
The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance (SAACA) and the Sky Islands Tourism Association (SITA) are partnering to present the 33rd Annual Fall celebration of arts and culture, on October 8 & 9, 2022, at the Patagonia Town Park. Attendees can welcome in the cooler weather in the Sky Islands, strolling over 100 artisans, food vendors, craft food makers, and live music throughout the park.
With a thirty plus year history of community outreach, this festival has been recognized as one of Arizona’s most well-attended rural community art gatherings, featuring fine artists, sculptors, weavers, potters, jewelry makers, crafters, live music, award-winning music, and food vendors from around the region.
REGIONAL TOURISM
The Sky Islands communities of Patagonia, Sonoita, and Elgin are also a great central location for day trips to Bisbee, Tombstone, Tubac, the wondrous Karchner Caverns, and Mexico. Spectacular mountain ranges soar above the desert floor, creating “Sky Islands,” which harbor tremendous biological and geographic diversity, rare in the US and much of the world.
With endless possibilities for your day or weekend local getaway, we invite the community to take part not just in the Artisan Market festivities but to visit and support the communities that surround you. For a list of possible activities, which include: Art & Culture, Birding, Biking & Hiking, Ecotourism, Parks & Lakes, Places to Eat, Shopping, Wellness as well as Wineries & Breweries, visit https://www.visitskyislands.com/attractions/

Each spot of the market has already been filled, with local artisan food purveyors, sculptors, painters, craft artisans, custom textile work, jewelry, and literary artists filling the park. The event attracts more than 15,000 visitors to Patagonia’s lovely tree-shaded park in the center of town over a festive weekend of art, music, and community. Patagonia is a tourist destination that makes for a great weekend trip to enjoy this scenic community, with plenty of artistic and creative flair on display.
The celebration will highlight tourism to the Sky Islands region. We encourage the community to visit the artisan market, but also to experience the local wineries, shops, outdoor spaces, and restaurants.
