The Dapper Dons of Comedy, a stand-up group including Bo Dacious, Shaun Jones, and Daniel Dugar, is touring with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) on bases across the Pacific this October. The tour will run from October 11-21, featuring nine performances.
Dacious, also known as “Bo Last Name Dacious,” is a stand-up comedian from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and has a long storied history on stage and on radio. Dacious has shared the stage with the likes of Dave Chappelle, Paul Mooney, Cedric the Entertainer, Mike Epps, Sommore, and Monique, just to name a few. Currently a writer for DL Hughley, he has also been Hughley’s opening act for the last seven years and was part of his 2018 Netflix special “Contrarian.” He is known for his quick wit, all races humor, and remarkable singing voice; Dacious has no boundaries and is among the most diverse comics working today.
In addition to his other work, he has been featured on TV One’s Roland Martin show, NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity” and the PBS Network. He was recently heard on The Joe Budden Podcast.
Dugar has opened for such acts as DL Hughley, Damon Wayans, Cedric the Entertainer and others, including a feature on “The Kings of Comedy” tour. He has also appeared with legendary musical acts, including Patti LaBelle and Earth, Wind & Fire. Dugar plays at colleges and comedy clubs around the country, and has appeared on HBO, BET’s “Comic View,” “Showtime at the Apollo,” and the Montreal Comedy Festival. He delivers hard-hitting comedy that is always right on the money. A fixture on the hip-hop comedy scene, he regularly works engagements across the country. His humorous observations on his personal life and on current events, as well as his sharp wit, make him a talent audiences everywhere love.
A New Jersey native, Jones has been tantalizing the comedy world for years with his quick wit and universally appealing comedic style. As a global performer, he uses his personal life experiences to connect with audiences everywhere, leaving people everywhere laughing.
He likens his comedic process to that of a master chef: he combines a cup of the truth, a tablespoon of originality, and a double dose of humor, mixing his comedic talents and stage presence and serving up a unique and perfect show. Jones has made television appearances on shows like BET’s “Comic View,” Starz’s “1st Amendment Standup”, Robert Townsend’s “Partners in Crime – The Next Generation,” and “The Mo’Nique Show.” He also appeared in the 2003 film “Shade” starring Jamie Foxx and Sylvester Stallone. In 2015, he was seen on ID TV’s “Your Worst Nightmare” as Deputy Sheriff Marv Olsen.
AFE has been committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members and their families stationed overseas through world-class live events and performances since 1951.
