The band brought home trophies for Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Band (Overall) of the Year. Adding to the wins, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris was named Fiddle Performer of the Year and Josiah Tyree won Banjo Performer of the Year. This year’s awards were held on Saturday, January 27th, at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Kody Norris Show won the following 2024 SPBGMA Awards:
• Entertainer of the Year / The Kody Norris Show

• Fiddle Performer of the Year / Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris
• Album of the Year / Rhinestone Revival
• Song of the Year / I Call Her Sunshine
• Band (Overall) of the Year / The Kody Norris Show

“I can’t believe it! I’m so happy for our band and everything we have accomplished in the last year. This is a heck of a way to kick off 2024 and we are so honored. We love bluegrass music, our fans, and everything that SPBGMA stands for!” – Kody Norris

“It’s always an honor to be included in the nominations but to take home the trophy is a dream come true. I remember coming to SPBGMA when I was a lot younger and just dreaming of being on that stage! I’m so happy I get to do that with my best friends and sincerely honored!” – Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris

“It’s an absolute honor and has been a long-time dream of mine to win Banjo Performer of the Year! SPBGMA is an essential part of why I play music today! A big thank you to each and every person that has played a role in my career to this point!” – Josiah Tyree

The Kody Norris Show had an exciting 2023, touring the United States and Australia, making their Grand Ole Opry debut, and opening for The Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, at The Ryman Auditorium. Continuing their momentum, they recently signed with Joey Crawford and Upper Management Talent for exclusive booking representation.

“From the moment, Mary Rachel and I met with Joey we knew it was the route we wanted to take,” explains Kody. “Joey cares about making the best deal not only for The Kody Norris Show but also for the venue; He wants everyone to prosper! We look forward to many years of working with Joey and Upper Management Talent.”

Of the twelve songs included on The Kody Norris Show’s latest album, Rhinestone Revival, four are penned by frontman Kody Norris: “Baltimore I’m Leaving,” “Please Tell Me Why,” “Gotta Get My Baby Back,” and their latest single, “Fiddler’s Rock.” Last October, the first single, “Mountain Rosalie,” was released along with an accompanying lyric video seen here. New elements to Rhinestone Revival include a track sung by Kody’s fiddling “sweetie” Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris, who steps out on “Endless Highway,” a tune Alison Krauss made famous in 1990. In addition, the band’s banjo ace, Josiah Tyree takes the lead on their current single, “I Call Her Sunshine.” Charlie Lowman rounds out the group, keeping perfect time on bass.
