The Kody Norris Show Recently Performed on HUCKABEE

Just off the heels of their successful wins at the 2024 SPBGMA Awards, The Kody Norris Show made their triumphant return to The Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night, performing their hit single “I Call Her Sunshine” and “Let All The Girls Know You’re A Cowboy” from their current album ‘Rhinestone Revival.’ They closed their portion of the show with “The Bluegrass Auctioneer,”a cover of Leroy Van Dyke’s classic, “The Auctioneer.” This was the group’s second appearance on The Grand Ole Opry and their second standing ovation.

“We’re just into the second month of 2024 and stand truly amazed at how our year is going thus far,” shares Kody Norris. “We are so thankful to be making our way back to the circle of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and can’t wait to see all our friends and fans!

The band recently brought home seven trophies from SPBGMA for Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Band (Overall) of the Year. Adding to the wins, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris was named Fiddle Performer of the Year and Josiah Tyree won Banjo Performer of the Year. The Kody Norris Show also made their debut appearance on Huckabee, where they brought the house down with their electric performance.

The Kody Norris Show had an exciting 2023, touring the United States and Australia, making their Grand Ole Opry debut, and opening for The Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, at The Ryman Auditorium. Continuing their momentum, they recently signed with Joey Crawford and Upper Management Talent for exclusive booking representation.

“From the moment, Mary Rachel and I met with Joey we knew it was the route we wanted to take,” explains Kody. “Joey cares about making the best deal not only for The Kody Norris Show but also for the venue; He wants everyone to prosper! We look forward to many years of working with Joey and Upper Management Talent.”

Of the twelve songs included on The Kody Norris Show’s latest album, Rhinestone Revival, four are penned by frontman Kody Norris: “Baltimore I’m Leaving,” “Please Tell Me Why,” “Gotta Get My Baby Back,” and their latest single, “Fiddler’s Rock.” Last October, the first single, “Mountain Rosalie,” was released along with an accompanying lyric video seen here. New elements to Rhinestone Revival include a track sung by Kody’s fiddling “sweetie” Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris, who steps out on “Endless Highway,” a tune Alison Krauss made famous in 1990. In addition, the band’s banjo ace, Josiah Tyree takes the lead on their current single, “I Call Her Sunshine.” Charlie Lowman rounds out the group, keeping perfect time on bass.
