Tours and Classes with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

May 31 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm MST

In-Person Presentation: Tours and Classes with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum on Wednesday, May 31 at 12 PM & 2 PM. Courtesy of Steve Bernier, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum will share information on their fascinating trips and showcase their classes on how cultures and people use desert plants.

Learn about the multi-day domestic and international trips offered by the Museum. Summer trips include birding in the Chiricahua Mountains and archeology in southwestern Colorado. Cross the Atlantic to Spain in the fall to explore how Roman and Arabic influences eventually made their way into the American Southwest. Spend some time this winter at an old dude ranch near the border town of Sasabe, and then explore the volcanic wonderland of the Pinacates in Mexico.

Get a preview into ethnobotany classes: cholla bud harvest, saguaro harvest, and prickly pear harvest.

This event is free, requires a reservation, is limited to 60 attendees per program, and will occur inside. Face coverings are optional.
