The Vail School District is helping the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona during Diaper Need Awareness Week with another mega-drive. This year students raised over 190,000 diapers in 10 days for families in need right here in Southern Arizona.
The Vail School Districts’ mega drive is one the largest drives held every year in support of the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona. This is their largest drive to date, surpassing their goal of 120,000 diapers by 70,000 diapers. Mark Tate, a Vail School District drive organizer, spoke for the generosity and commitment of his community by saying “this is Vail” when asked about the influx of donations.
“We would like to thank Vail School District organizers like Mark Tate, for all their hard work rallying together the community, especially students and faculty, to help support us during Diaper Need Awareness Week. Their donation will help hundreds of families across Southern Arizona, and we really could not do what we do without the help of such a generous community like Vail,” said Leslie Pike, Manager of Programs and Volunteerism, Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona.
