Free Downtown Loop now runs downtown

Get around downtown Tucson with ease, just hop on board the Downtown Loop.

This free transit service provides access to community services, government offices, courts, educational facilities and area businesses.

The Downtown Loop is a free weekday service that runs from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

There are 12 stops conveniently located along the route, vans run every 30 minutes.

Tips for Easy Riding

1. Wait on the sidewalk where the driver can easily see you.

2. Board the vehicle quickly and
take your seat.

3. About one block from your desired stop, be sure to collect all your personal belongings so you’re ready to exit.

GemRide provides shuttle service during 2009 Gem Show

A free local shuttle service, GemRideTM, will be provided during the 2009 Gem Shows sites around Downtown and to most show locations located off the I-10 frontage roads.

GemRide, sponsored by ParkWise and the City of Tucson, will operate January 31-February 15, 2009. Shuttle information and maps are available at the Tucson International Airport, the Visitor Center in La Placita Village at 100 S. Church Avenue and at all shuttle stops by January 30, 2009.

Free Downtown Shuttle Stops & Parking Locations. GemRideTM Shuttles originate from designated Parking HUBS:

  • 22nd Street / I-10 Parking HUB (I-10 frontage road at 22nd Street)
  • Congress Street Parking HUB (Congress Street west of I-10)
  • Tucson Expo Center Parking HUB (Irvington at I-10)

Parking lots are open from 8 am - 8 pm daily (MST). Shuttle maps and exact stop locations will be available in early January 2009.

UA Shuttle Route to Downtown

The University of Arizona Shuttle links the UA, 4th Ave and Downtown.

The T.I.C.E.T shuttle provides free shuttle services to 4th Avenue and the University of Arizona Main Gate on the Red Line Route. There are 24 stops to "structured" parking spots, retail businesses, restaurants, downtown and area hotels, clubs, thereaters, galleries and museums, as well as the UA Main Gate.
