The Zucker Family Line

By Robert Zucker

The word "Zucker" means sugar in German. But not all Zuckers are, or were, German.

The Zucker family surname is now more common than it used to be. There are more Zucker's around the world than ever before.

The genealogy of the Zucker name probably orignated in the region of Austria. The original Zuckers were probably workers specializing in the production or refining of sugar or sugar products. Around the turn of the 20th Century, thousands of Zuckers acros Europe started to migrate to the United States from Europe prior to the Holocaust.

This Zucker genealogy is compiled from emails sent by Zuckers and relative for the past decade. Zuckers from around the world have met online and discovered new family connections. My family tree have expanded greatly thanks to other Zucker's who have searched and found this web site.
