Punk Mafia Presents: Radio Silence EP

Punk Mafia Presents: Radio Silence EP on Earth Program/Virgin Music – Available 03.01.24 Punk Mafia Presents: Radio Silence EP

Punk Mafia presents their Radio Silence EP, the first of a series, to Spotify and all the major services via Earth Program/Virgin Music. Sample the record here.

Inspired by Joy Division, The Ramones, Type O Negative, Ministry & The Deadboys, the recordings were produced by M.O.B. and R-Low, with all instruments/vocals + lyrics created by M.O.B. and mixed/mastered by R-Low.

M.O.B. & R-Low have produced over sixty hit songs with some of the biggest bands and rappers in the world, including artists such as Patrick Stump of Falloutboy, DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit, Fever 333, 311, Onyx, DMC of Run-DMC and death pop kings ORGY, Chali2Na of Jurassic 5 and DJ Kilmore of Incubus among others.

This initial EP consists of four tracks; entitled “Anarchy”, “Psycho”, “Rebel” and “Rock N’ Roll Disco”, with a stated plan to release an EP every two months.

Focused on turning a negative into a positive, this ambitious project contains twenty six songs recorded over a short period of time by M.O.B. in his apartment located in the very same Franklin Village, Los Angeles building as the infamous “Hillside Strangler” once resided, with M.O.B. on Guitar, bass, synth, drums/programming vocals and lyrics.

His partner R-Low then flew in from Italy to track vocals, drums and some other overdubs and additional production on the vocals, and quickly flew back to Italy to mix and master the songs. A sign of the times, the two maestro’s have steadily built M.O.B. together remotely across the ocean from LA to Italy and back for ten years strong.

Recently, M.O.B. Left L.A. and is back in NY putting a band together to play the Punk Mafia songs live. “I was giving too much of myself to people who weren’t respecting my love, talent, or well-being. When I give my heart, I give it all and I do not tolerate bullshit or f-around. This is real life. Real music. Now isolated away from all the posers and hookers, I feel like I finally got to address my personal mental health struggles. Getting to self-produce the music was really important to me to find the sound that best describes who I am, how I feel and what has happened in my journey of truth in music. I was able to channel my traumas and heartbreak into powerful, artistic, meaningful songs that I truly feel will help others. I am not alone in my feelings. These songs address the current political crisis, Love, Hate, heartbreak and healing, and I think many people will relate.”

Kenny Loggins Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Footloose

Fans can cut loose to Loggins’ Oscar-nominated title track with the release of an all-new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray edition of the 1984 smash film.

This week, music legend Kenny Loggins is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the movie Footloose, the smash 1984 movie that helped to cement the singer-songwriter’s reputation as “the Soundtrack King.” To mark this milestone, Paramount Home Entertainment has remastered the film and is releasing it for the first time as a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in standard and steelbook packages.

Released on February 17, 1984, Footloose was directed by the legendary filmmaker Herbert Ross (The Turning Point, Steel Magnolias) and concerned a Chicago teenager who moves to a small town and attempts to overturn its ban on dancing. The movie was an immediate hit and soon became a phenomenon, turning Kevin Bacon into a star and dominating music charts with a multi-million-selling soundtrack album that included two songs performed by Loggins: “I’m Free (Heaven Helps the Man)” and, of course, the iconic title track. Both songs were written by Loggins and Dean Pitchford.

“Footloose” exploded on radio and MTV, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, and in 2018 was placed in the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry as being “culturally, historically or artistically significant.”

“Being a part of Footloose has been one of the biggest highlights of my life,” says Loggins. “Working with Dean Pitchford on both songs was definitely special for me. I can still remember singing some of the first lyrics to Dean in the laundry room of my house. Everything came together so organically. I’ve had a blast performing ‘Footloose’ for decades, and I still enjoy watching audiences jump out of their seats to dance every time they hear the first guitar riff.”

About Kenny Loggins

Kenny Loggins has sold more than 25 million albums and has won two Grammy Awards. In addition to his string of successful recordings, both solo and as a member of the famed duo Loggins & Messina, Loggins became the first major rock star to dedicate himself to recording music for children and families. His album Return to Pooh Corner remains the best-selling children’s album of the last 20 years. In 2016, he released his latest children’s project, the book Footloose (Moondance Press, an imprint of Quarto Publishing Group USA), inspired by his 1985 Oscar-nominated and Grammy Award-winning “Song of the Year.”

His song “Conviction of the Heart” was hailed as the “unofficial anthem of the environmental movement” by Al Gore, when Loggins performed it on Earth Day in 1995 at The National Mall in Washington, D.C.

In 2016, he received the ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award at the annual Chapin Awards hosted by WhyHunger. Later that year, The Guild of Music Supervisors honored Loggins with the organization’s first-ever Icon Award for his outstanding achievements in film, television and soundtracks.

His generous support of countless local organizations has made a lasting impact on the causes that are close to his heart. Through his work with Toys for Tots in Santa Barbara, CA, Loggins helped launch Unity Shoppe in 1988. An expansion of the Council of Christmas Cheer, which previously only existed during the holiday season, Unity Shoppe extended the program year-round so individuals could volunteer their services to help low-income families, children, the elderly, sick and disabled in Santa Barbara County. Loggins regularly lends his support to youth-based programs like Make a Wish, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and Little Kids Rock.

Loggins was honored with a Humanitarian of the Year Award from Little Kids Rock for his extensive commitment to children’s causes in 2016. In 2018, he helped re-open the original Notes for Notes (N4N) Studios at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara and United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara County, giving over 600 kids each year access to a world of musical expression.

Loggins released At The Movies on June 12, 2021 – a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl that included some of his career-spanning soundtrack hits for the first time ever on one album, including “I’m Alright” (Caddyshack), “Footloose” (Footloose), “Danger Zone” (Top Gun) and many more.

His hit song “Danger Zone” was featured once again in Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick, which become the biggest release of 2022, earning over $1.5B globally and saw “Danger Zone” earning over 1M streams per day at its peak.

On June 14, 2022, Hachette Books published Still Alright, Loggins’ long-awaited memoir. In Still Alright, Loggins gives fans a candid and entertaining perspective on his life and career as one of the most noteworthy musicians of the 1970s and ’80s.

Throughout 2023, Loggins crisscrossed the U.S. on his sold-out “This Is It” tour celebrating his spectacularly successful six-decade career as a hit songwriter and performer. On Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, he staged the closing show of his final concert tour in grand style – in his hometown of Santa Barbara at the beloved Santa Barbara Bowl.

MUSIC STARS SHARE FOND MEMORIES OF TOBY KEITH, WHO DIED AT AGE 62

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music singer Toby Keith has died at age 62. “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage,” according to a statement on his website. The “Shock’n Y’all” and “Red Solo Cup” singer had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and started treatments in fall 2021. He had surgery and received chemotherapy and radiation in the course of his cancer battle.

“Toby Keith has gone home. This is very sad news. We loved and respected him on every level and whispered many a prayer for him as he fought this illness. God must have needed a big-hearted Oklahoma singing boy for the great choir. Well, he got one. RIP Toby Keith.” – The Oak Ridge Boys

“I admire the way Toby battled this awful illness. He released new music, and he was on stage at the end. There is nothing coming along to replace people like him.” – Don McLean

“Toby Keith did things his way – amazing artist, songwriter, patriot, and man of faith. I admired him and how he rolled. He and I shared a deep love for our military, and I’m proud that he took his music to dangerous places in order to give the American spirit to those protecting freedom. I was pleased he called me the OG and was honored to work with him a few times through the years. Please join our family in praying for the Keith family. I am confident that Toby was met at the pearly gates by patriots who have gone before and is resting in the arms of Jesus.” – Lee Greenwood

“It’s heartbreaking to lose Toby Keith. I’ve always been a big fan of Toby and his music, and I’ll always treasure singing with him. Toby was a great American.” – Crystal Gayle

“Toby was the embodiment of GOD, Family, & Country… and had a way of making you stand up a little taller when singing about (or honoring) our service men and women. We are better country music artists because of the life and legacy of Toby Keith. Rest well, brother, may your music and legacy live on forever!” – Chapel Hart

“It’s always sad when hearing that one of our great talents has left for home. He was truly one of the most talented singer-songwriters ever to grace a stage. Hearing his voice and music through the years always brought a smile to my face. Kelly and I have often prayed for him since hearing of his diagnosis. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and legions of fans all over the world. R.I.P. Toby.” – T.G. Sheppard

“What a loss to our music. A great talent with a big heart. Everybody loved Toby. RIP.” – Moe Bandy

“Toby has been a great talent and image in the music business and will be respected and remembered forever.” – Janie Fricke

“Toby was a true American success story and never forgot what America stands for. He was an icon. God bless his family at this sorrowful time. R.I.P.” – T. Graham Brown

“I have always enjoyed Toby Keith’s music throughout the years. He’s always been a patriot with his continued support for our military. This one hits hard for sure!” – Johnny Lee

“I knew Toby from back in our Oklahoma nightclub days. He was the leader of the “Easy Money“ band, and I remember looking up to him as a band leader even back then. I think the thing I admired most about him is that he did things his own way and made no apologies for it! I’m told that he came out to the last show we performed in Grove, Oklahoma, but had to leave before we came off stage. I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye or tell him how much I’ve looked up to him over the years. I hope he knew. Rest in peace, my Oklahoma brother!” – Heath Wright / RICOCHET

“I didn’t know Toby, but he had so many people who loved him, and I’m very sorry to hear of his passing.” – Lacy J. Dalton

“Toby Keith was relatable to fans from all genres. This is a loss we will all feel for a long time. He fought a true fight and has been an inspiration to us all.” – Artimus Pyle

“Toby Keith was as tough as the oilfields of Oklahoma with the soul of a poet. He fought his battle with cancer with the same toughness, grace, and resolve the same way he approached his craft of songwriting. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.” – Dallas Wayne

llas Wayne

“The story that will forever define Toby Keith for me is very personal. My son Torre was serving his first tour in Iraq – stationed in a remote area on the outskirts of Samarra in a very volatile area. Toby came to Iraq to entertain our troops. However, after several shows, Toby said he wanted to entertain those men who were isolated. Toby was told of a small group of men in “No Man’s Land” but was strongly advised not to go there. It was too dangerous. Toby insisted. He didn’t want to endanger the lives of other musicians and entertainers, so he went alone. But for a few hours, Toby and his guitar brought a piece of America to a handful of Americans who needed a reminder that they were not forgotten. I will always love Toby Keith for the morale boost he gave my son when he needed it most. I will always remember him as a man of character.” – Tim Atwood

“It’s a sad day for country music. Toby Keith has always been a favorite of mine, from being as young as nine, hearing “Red Solo Cup” every Christmas, to growing up and becoming an even bigger fan of his listening to his cowboy songs. I also truly admired his adoration and appreciation for the military. You will be missed, sir. Raise a glass for us all up there.” – Makenzie Phipps

“As a 90s kid, Toby Keith was a lot of the soundtrack of my childhood. I sang along to many of his songs from the back seat of my mom’s car & fell in love with his spirit for the words he was singing & the people he was singing for. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family & friends as they navigate these next few weeks & months without him. He fought a good fight & will be missed!” – Paige King Johnson

“Toby Keith epitomized what real country music is all about. His heart for this country was true Red, White, and Blue.” – Joey Canyon / Canyon Star TV

“When Toby Keith died, a piece of my childhood died with him. His music has been the soundtrack of my life. Today, we lost a true icon, and he will be missed.” – Will Wesley

“Toby Keith owned the radio airwaves when I was a kid. “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” was one of his boldest moves as an artist. I love that song and appreciate him always speaking his mind.  Cancer is indiscriminate. We’ll miss him.” – Levi Riggs

Long Island’s Dark Night Halloween World Seeks Employees, Vendors and Attractions

AREA’S LARGEST HAUNTED HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL TO OPEN ON LONG ISLAND, SEEKS EMPLOYEES, VENDORS, ATTRACTIONS

Long Island’s Top-Rated Halloween Attraction, Dark Night Halloween World Is Opening Its Doors To Others To Become Long Island’s Largest Halloween Event

Dark Night Halloween World, Long Island’s fastest-growing Haunted pop-up event located in Farmingville, NY at the Bald Hill Amphitheater has announced their plans to create the largest Halloween celebration on Long Island – and they’re seeking to collaborate with new creators, performers, artists, vendors, attractions and more to make it happen.

For more information on Dark Night Halloween World, Aurora Interactive LLC or the Aurora Institute, please visit www.Darkworldeg.com

Tickets for Dark Night Halloween World go on sale this summer via www.DarkNightLI.com

Dark Night Halloween World originally opened in 2021, seeking to provide Long Island with a genuine Haunted Attraction and overall Halloween event with a strong 1980’s and 1990’s theme. Since the debut of this retro themed Halloween show, the event has quickly become Long Island’s fastest growing haunted house alternative. In 2022, Buzzfeed rated Dark Night #15 on their list of America’s Top Haunts for Horror Fans to Visit and for 2023, they seek to expand and collaborate with more artists, creators, and small businesses to create a true Halloween festival.

“During the Halloween season, Long Islanders have their choice of many different Haunted Attractions and Halloween Activities – but more often than not, they can only realistically attend one per year, and it can be hard to choose which one will provide the most Fright and Fun for their dollar. We set out to create a space where they can quench their spooky thirst all in one place. As we expand from a large-scale Haunted Experience into a larger, more inclusive event, we plan to introduce a genuine Halloween festival and work with artists, vendors, attractions and more to make it happen.” Said Aidan P. Finnegan, Co-Owner and Marketing Director of Dark Night Halloween World.

Finnegan, a Kings Park native whose company Dark World Entertainment Group is responsible for producing nationally-recognized Haunted Attractions and Immersive Experiences throughout the East Coast and Midwest, partnered with local event producer Martin Arominski to create this event. Arominski has created many of Long Island’s largest Haunted Events, including the now-defunct Chamber of Horrors NY in Hauppauge, Long Island Fear Fest at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Halls of Terror in Farmingdale, and was the original owner of the popular Blood Manor in New York City. The pair have been working together since Finnegan was a teenager.

“We’re opening the doors for artists, brands, and businesses to create their own opportunities at our event, even other haunted attractions in the area can participate! If you have an attraction of your own, whether that is Axe Throwing or an Escape Room, or you want to promote and sell your wares – Dark Night Halloween World is the place to be.” said Mort Spuccenskrëm, Co-Owner of Dark Night Halloween World.

Dark Night’s “Fright Team” has added tens of thousands of dollars worth of new theme park-grade animatronics, control systems, hollywood-grade masks crafted by L.A. effects artists, custom giant Photo-Ops, and props to their event for this year, as they strive to construct Long Island’s largest Haunted Attraction in addition to the festival aspect. Dark Night’s optional scare-filled offerings will now feature more Haunted Mazes, scare actors, and ‘scare-zones’ than in previous years.

“Even as we expand the event as a whole, we haven’t lost sight of the ‘flesh and bones’ of the event, which are the Haunted Attractions,” adds Finnegan. “So not only will visitors get to experience more Haunted Mazes and Special Effects than anywhere else in the area, but if visitors want a fun Halloween experience with less emphasis on ‘super scary’ – they’ll get that too. We are excited to bring a large event to Long Island that truly offers something scary – or spooky – for everyone.”

Dark Night Halloween World is also owned and created by Montauk, NY based “Alternate Reality” ad agency Aurora Interactive LLC – the marketing & advertising division of the mysterious Aurora Institute who claim to be “a clandestine and duplicitous N.G.O” on their website.

Dark Night Halloween World Brings Artificial Intelligence to Haunted Scream Park on Long Island

Dark Night Halloween World, Long Island’s top-rated and fastest growing Halloween pop-up event located in Farmingville, NY at the Bald Hill Amphitheater has announced that their annual ‘spooktacular’ all-ages haunted experience will be designed and managed by artificial intelligence for the 2023 Halloween Season.

In 2022, Buzzfeed ranked Dark Night as #15 on their list of America’s Top Haunts for Horror Fans to Visit, and for 2023, the team behind the event are upping their game with artificial intelligence and using it to create, design and manage the entire experience.

“You can do anything with A.I now, and it will only get better from here. The negative effects of it are already being felt by the arts and entertainment communities, so instead of letting it beat us, why not use it as the tool it was intended for?” Said Aidan P. Finnegan, Co-Owner and Marketing Director of Dark Night Halloween World. He cites the current WGA strike in Hollywood and tech experts’ warnings as examples of how this technology can impact creatives in the coming years.

One of the production companies involved with the event, Dark World Entertainment Group, formed by Finnegan, his business partner Martin Arominski, and former founding member W.P. West, is responsible for producing nationally-recognized Haunted Attractions and Immersive Experiences throughout the United States and United Kingdom. Arominski himself has created many of Long Island’s largest Haunted Events, including the now-defunct Chamber of Horrors NY in Hauppauge, Long Island Fear Fest at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Halls of Terror in Farmingdale, and was the original owner of the popular Blood Manor in New York City.. The trio, now a pair, have been working together since Finnegan was a teenager.

“You’re not going to find anything like Dark Night Halloween World anywhere else on Long Island, and we’re striving to stay ahead of the game by using artificial intelligence. This will not only help us create our marketing and advertising, the experience and design of the event… But also to manage and operate it. Between our top-of-the-line security force, our animatronics, and our staff’s decision to be microchipped to be fully integrated into our A.I system, what could go wrong? This is going to scare the pants off Long Island and the world!” said Mort Spuccenskrëm, Co-Owner of Dark Night Halloween World. According to Spuccenskrëm, the event’s owners have enlisted the help of Artificial Intelligence firm Sekonds & Cummings to implement a new AI-reliant protocol. At first, some employees were ‘skeptical’ of the changes, but were quick to change their attitudes after learning of the benefits of AI integration.

Dark Night Halloween World is owned and created by Montauk, NY based “Alternate Reality” ad agency Aurora Interactive LLC – the marketing & advertising division of the mysterious Aurora Institute, who claim to be “a clandestine and duplicitous N.G.O” on their website.

Snoop Dogg Says Tupac Would Be ‘Changing the World’ Today

Snoop Dogg stepped out for the premiere of “Dear Mama,” the new five-part docuseries that explores the powerful bond between the late Tupac Shakur and his mother, the late Afeni Shakur.

“Extra” spoke with Snoop about why he wanted to be a part of the doc. He said, “Well, because it’s involving his mother and his story… His mother was a strong woman. I had a chance to get a relationship with her and to know her, to meet her, to have her be a part of my life, so I’m anxious to see what the story is about, and that relationship is so crucial to the world we live in right now with mother and son.”

Snoop shared how Afeni was an inspiration to him over the years.

He commented, “She was always a special woman, a strong woman, a strong Black woman. She led by example, so just having intimate conversation with her about, you know, what I was doing with my life and how I was trying to better myself and just giving me input on that I was doing the right thing and to continue to do what I was doing, so she was always strong and spiritual and inspirational to me.”

He reflected on what Tupac would be doing today to help change the world. He remarked, “Football leagues, philanthropy work, you know, changing the world, being a politician, being effective, being positive… I think that he would be doing the exact same things I’m doing, times two, because he was way ahead of the game before me, so I’m just doing some of the things that I think that he would be proud of.”

Snoop also dished on what we can expect from his own upcoming biopic, saying his sons won’t play him. He pointed out, “We’re gonna get some actors to play they part, you know what I’m saying? We’re gonna really go for the big swing on this one, you know? My life story… ain’t complete because it’s still happening, but at the same time, I feel like people need to know, you know, my humble beginnings, who I learned it from, who I got it from, and how I became who I am.”

“Dear Mama” debuts on FX April 21.
