LOS ANGELES, CA – On the heels of their acclaimed debut album, Nothing But Time (2025), the Steve Bardwil Band is back with a brand new single with an energized sound all their own.

The song, “Something With You” was produced by 11-time GRAMMY® Award winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (Frank Zappa, Elton John, White Stripes) at the legendary East West Studios in Los Angeles, California. In addition to lead vocalist/guitarist, Steve Bardwil, the new song features a dynamic lineup of musicians including Johnny Stachela (lead guitar), Max Butler (keys), Vince Fossett (drums), Aaron Leibowitz (saxophone), Catherine Jayne (vocals), and Frank Coglitore (bass).
For Bardwil, writing continues to be a cathartic process as well as artistic expression, a process that yields songs drawn from his own personal experiences and expansion blending new colorful stories into his vibrant mosaic.
The new track is accompanied by the official video directed by award winning producerAndrew van den Houten. The video, as premiered by Relix, depicts a playful but sincere journey of a man’s attraction towards a woman, and follows him as he builds the courage to engage her respectfully in a modern world where people tend to hesitate and overthink instead of connecting; old-school intention meets contemporary setting.
According to Steve, the idea for the song came, “After I pondered philosophically that nothing comes from nothing… and we often turn nothing into something, including with respect to relationships of all kinds… business relationships, friendships and love relationships. Once that thought took hold, I focused on this concept of turning nothing into something in the context of a love relationship… and the song basically wrote itself.”

While gigging steadily over the past year and receiving offers to support the likes of Kenny Loggins, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Carnie and Wendy Wilson, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Kenny Lee Lewis (Steve Miller Band), and Hunter Hawkins to name a few, Bardwil and his bandmates are excited to continue performing live for their fans and expanding to new audiences.
Bardwil adds, “We have had a blast performing the new songs before a live audience and watching folks smiling and heads bopping to the music. When we play the songs live we can deviate from the arrangements we played when we recorded them and go places with the music that we feel in the moment.”
The band’s new album (title TBA) is set for an early summer release.

After decades navigating the high-stakes world of Hollywood as Chief Counsel for Walt Disney Studios, Steve Bardwil traded legal briefs for guitar riffs. Bardwil formed the Steve Bardwil Band in 2015 as a celebration of music, of love, of friendship. His band is made up of stellar musicians, from different generations and backgrounds.
